CFL Week 4 (part 2)

A battle of two winless teams, Calgary Stampeders at BC Lions (youtube link). It was a close back and forth first half until Calgary scored a touchdown with 1:14 left in the second quarter then on the kickoff BC fumbles on the return and Calgary scores another touchdown to take a 24-14 lead to the locker room.

BC would get a field goal in the third quarter to narrow the Stampeder lead to 24-17. Calgary would score another touchdown late in the third quarter and early in the fourth quarter would return a punt for a touchdown to post a 38-17 lead. BC wouldn't score again until late in the fourth quarter, 38-25. Calgary would kick a field goal 41-25 and BC would score a touchdown with under a minute to play and the game would end with Calgary 41 BC 33.

Ottawa Redblacks looking for their first win travel to Montreal to take on the Alouettes (youtube link). In the first half Ottawa only managed seventy-six yards of total offense and two field goals as Montreal had a comfortable 21-6 halftime lead.

In the second half the Redblacks outscored the Al's 12-0 but failed to convert a two point conversion and a missed a point after touchdown. The Al's would step up in the fourth quarter and and scored sixteen points, just enough to secure a victory. The Redblacks would make the end exciting as they would score a TD on a 94 yd kickoff return but fail on an onside kick. The Redblacks 2 point conversion failure would be the difference in the final score.
