Commissioner's Picks Week 1

Commissioner's Picks Week 1
The Mystic says:"When you go with your gut have plenty of Pepto."

My picks for week 1:

SEA
LAR
CHI
CIN
BAL
DET
BUF
JAX
TEN
PIT
GB
PHI
LV
LAC
DAL
DEN

Week one picks are generally just going with the gut. For the season opener on WEDNESDAY, NE was a Cinderella last year and generally the following year the "Cindy's" come back down to earth. But SEA is missing RB Charbonnet and that could affect the play of QB Darnold. But I think the SEA defense will be the difference.

SF-LAR, jet lag will be a major factor the next two weeks for these teams. How much playing time RB McCaffrey gets will be a key to the outcome. But with the new additions to the LAR defense and Stafford, my pick goes to the Rams.

BUF-HOU, comes down to two things, the HOU defense and the play of both QB's. HOU's Stroud, seems his rookie year was his high point and last year is probably his level going forward. BUF has a new coach and that is a factor of uncertainty but I will go with Josh Allen for the win.

NYJ-TEN, MIA-LV if you get stuck having to watch either one of these games, my condolences.

GB-MIN, if the Vikings had a solid QB this game could be a nail biter.

ATL-PIT, the Falcons named Tua their starter and it is quite possible that Penix will be taking over sometime this season. PIT, seriously, what is a forty+ year old player doing in the NFL?

NO-DET, I expect the Lions to rebound from last year if they can stay healthy.

CLE-JAX, maybe the Browns should start Watson on the road and Sanders at home.

DAL-NYG, is this the year the Cowboys get back to the Super Bowl? Will Harbaugh make a big difference?

Ten new head coaches (ATL, AZ, BAL, BUF, CLE, LV, MIA, NYG, PIT, TEN) make picking week one a crap shoot. Good Luck!
