The final game of the week and Ottawa is still looking for their first win of the season. WPG QB Dru Brown started his career with the Bombers and appeared in 38 games before signing with Ottawa in 2024. In training camp this year Ottawa went with Jake Maier as the starting QB. The Bombers reacquired Brown Jun 23, 2026 to get QB help when Zach Collaros went down with injury. Video link to the GAME

For most of the first half the teams traded FG's until the Redblacks finally got in the end zone with two seconds left in the half giving them a 19-9 lead.

In the third quarter Ottawa had two opportunities deep in Bomber territory but turned it over on downs at the one and Maier threw an interception. The Redblacks did manage a TD late in the quarter to take a 26-9 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Dru Brown would lead Winnipeg to 17 points in the fourth quarter. The tying TD at 1:05 left in regulation.

CFL OT - Each team will get a maximum 2 drives starting at opponents 35 yd line. If game is still tied, teams will alternate 2 pt attempts until a comes out on top.

Ottawa is still winless and has a bye next week and will have to wait until week 9 for a chance at their first win. Winnipeg is now 4-2 and third place in the Western Division.
