Injuries hit again as BC Lions QB Nathan Rourke went down early with a left shoulder injury. Backup QB Chase Brice came in, 20-34-226-1-4. The four INT's weren't the only reason the Lions ended up on the losing end of the score. The running game, 11 carries for 15 yards meant they had to rely on Brice's arm.

Edmonton also had a very bad night trying to rush the ball, 13 carries for 27 yds. The Lions smothered RB Justin Rankin, 7 carries for 9 yds. The Elks did come away with a victory but they must be concerned about a two point win against a backup quarterback.

Despite the low scoring game there were some big plays and a suspenseful ending. The lack of running games resulted on the final outcome fell on the shoulders of the quarterbacks and the defenses.
