The Grande Digest - 2025 Week 17 - Issue #41

Happy New Year!

The 2025 season is just a few days away from completion. Every year there is a team that starts hot and finishes cold and a team that starts cold hand finishes hot. For the former, hands down is the AFC South's Indianapolis Colts starting 7-1 and missing the playoffs. For the latter there are a couple possibilities, again all in the AFC South, JAX and HOU.

The surprises this year are NE but they've had an easy schedule and we'll see how they fare next year with a first place schedule. QB Drake Maye is playing outstanding football so far and is an MVP candidate. The other surprises are JAX, CHI and SEA. While KC missed the playoffs but everything eventually comes to an end. DET had lofty expectations at the start of the season and missed the playoffs.

Playoffs. we have all but two spots filled. Currently in the AFC - DEN, NE, JAX, HOU, LAC, BUF. In the NFC - SEA, CHI, PHI, SF, LAR, GB.

Looking forward to Jan 5th, what team will fire their head coach? NYJ, LV, AZ, CLE?
