Monday Night Matchup Wk 16

Monday Night Matchup Wk 16

Tonight's game: SF @ IND. Phillip Rivers was better than I expected last week but did he pull a Will Levis?

The Grande Pickem:

The Premiere Division: Josh won the week.

The Prime Division: The week will come down to tonight's game. We will either have a two way tie between Rik and Todd. Or a three way tie with Dennis.

In the NFC, five teams have qualified for the playoffs and the Eagles have clinched the East.

In the AFC only two teams have qualified for the playoffs (DEN, NE). IND has to win tonight to keep their playoff hopes alive.

We experienced a wild week of NFL football, unlikely comebacks, referee conferences and an unusual two point conversion. The Grande Pickem title is still up for grabs. Here are the current standings with thirty-three games left in the regular season:

Erick 158.5 / Dan 156.5 / Doug 154.5 / Denny 153.5 / Todd 153.5 / Josh 151.5 / Rik 145.5 / Ethan 135.5

Breaking news: The Kansas City Chiefs will be relocating from Missouri to Kansas after the 2031 season. The state of Kansas will help build a domed stadium for the Chiefs.

Editorial: It isn't the purpose of this blog to get into the politics of NFL decisions but I would like to point out a few things. The NFL is a billion dollar industry and city and state governments (and more precisely the fans) are footing the bill of these new stadiums. The government of Kansas (Kansas taxpayers) will be paying 70% of the new domed stadium for the Chiefs. I am not aware of any profit sharing in the deal other than the obligatory "will bring jobs to the area". Socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor. We now resume our normal broadcast day.
