Monday Night Matchup Week 15

Monday Night Matchup Week 15

Tonight's game: MIA @ PIT. I've written enough about this game.

Grande Pickem:

In the Premiere Division Ethan wins the week.

In the Prime Division Todd wins the week.

The home teams are 9-6 so far this week. My assumption that the home teams were going to do well didn't pan out. A couple of upsets (ATL, MIN) and some players I thought were going to have bad days proved me wrong (JJ McCarthy, Lamar Jackson). There are several teams that are on a performance roller coaster, playing well one week then the next week look like they are more concerned about the team Christmas party than playing a football game (CAR, DAL to name two).

Injury report. LAR WR Davante Adams tweaked hamstring. Gone for the season: KC QB Patrick Mahomes and DAL LB Micah Parsons both out with torn ACL's. WAS shut down QB Jayden Daniels for the rest of the season.

A few interesting (or not) facts. CLE DE Myles Garrett has 21.5 sacks is just two sacks away from setting a new season record (NYG Michael Strahan, 22.5 (thank you Brett Favre)). AZ TE Trey McBride has gone over thousand yards again for the second straight year, 105 rec, 1,071 yds, 10.2 avg and 10 TD's. CHI HC Ben Johnson is the third Bears HC to win 10 games in his rookie year joining George Halas 1920 and Matt Nagy 2018. LAR RB Kyren Williams is the fourth RB to rush for a thousand yards in three or more consecutive seasons (Eric Dickerson, Marshall Faulk, Steven Jackson).
