Monday Night Matchup Week 14

Monday Night Matchup Week 14

Tonight's game: PHI@LAC

Pickem Weekly winners:

Premiere Division- Josh won the week by two games.

Prime Divison is tied between Dennis and Rik, tonight's game will decide the winner.

Injuries again took its toll. IND QB Daniel Jones went down with an Achilles injury and will have surgery, ending his season. The Colts appear to be in trouble with no quality backup QB. WAS QB Jayden Daniels left game reinjuring his elbow. Dan Quinn and the Commanders should shutdown Daniels for the rest of the season and hope he can get healthy during the offseason and rebound next year.

I didn't see the Saints upsetting the Buccaneers. Another thing I didn't foresee was MIN QB JJ McCarthy leading the Vikings to 31 points. (I have to bring that up with the Mystic)

In the winter wonderland of Buffalo, CIN QB Joe Burrow was making a case to upset the Bills but two late interceptions propelled the Bills to victory and in the process put the Bengals postseason hopes in the trash bin.

Another team whose postseason hopes are dangling by a thread, the KC Chiefs who have lost four of their last five games. They play the Chargers next week and the Broncos on Christmas day. It is quite possible the Chiefs end up 8-9.

The AFC North is having a bad season. The Bengals and Brows are going to have losing seasons. Baltimore is not playing up to their expectations and it is possible they too have a losing season. That leaves the Steelers. They finish out the season with: MIA, DET, CLE & BAL. It is possible they end the season 9-8, win the division and lose their playoff game. What will make me roll my eyes is when I hear fanboys like Chris Collinsworth say Mike Tomlin did an excellent job of guiding them to another winning record and the playoffs. Eeking out a division championship in a very weak division isn't the praise they think it is.

Both East Divisions and the AFC West have clear leaders while every other division is contested and will make for an interesting end of the season. Before I end the post I have to recognize that the Miami Dolphins have won four in a row. It is probably a little too late but if they win out, their record would be 10-7. Would it be good enough to qualify for the playoffs? That would depend on how everything plays out.
