Memory Lane - Preview of the 1976 New York Jets
1976 AFC Eastern Division

The 1975 New York Jets were just plain bad as their 3-11 record proved. The Jet defense not only ranked last in total yards and points allowed but were one of the worst in history giving up 433 points (30.9 pts a game). The offense only did marginally better ranking 15th of 26 teams in yards gained. A mid season trade demand by QB Joe Namath didn't have any takers so he will be back in 1976. Due to his lack of mobility and interception rate, he had been referred to as "a statue who throws interceptions."
