Commissioner's Picks - Week 4
I know you've been waiting for picks from a player with a very average winning percentage this year. So, here is hoping for a good week.
My picks:
CLE
IND
BUF
CHI
JAX
DAL
AZ
LAR
BAL
GB
MIN
KC
SEA
SF
DET
ATL
Easy pick games - BAL@TEN, GB@TB, MIA@MIN, KC@LV, LAC@SEA, DEN@SF. But let me say, the Chief/Raiders is a divisional game and the Raiders have surprised the Chiefs before.
PIT@CLE - I'm going against the spread because the Steelers haven't won in Cleveland since 2021 with Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers will be playing a much tougher defense than the Bengals this week and I expect their offense to go back into hibernation. But putting my pick on the shoulders of Watson doesn't make me confident.
IND@WAS - London, England. The last two times the Colts played in Washington, 2010, 2018, they've won both games, totally useless info for this game. This is a tough one for me, WAS has better team stats but is without their starting QB. Daniel Jones and Jonathan Taylor, don't let me down.
NE@BUF - The Patriots haven't been playing well so far this year. Josh Allen didn't have a good game last week and he should remedy that this week.
NYJ@CHI - The Jets aren't the doormat I expected them to be this year but the Bears are playing well even with a backup QB.
JAX@CIN - The Jags probably should be undefeated if they would've played a better fourth quarter against the Broncos. Cincinnati defense reverted back to their expected level last week and I expect that level to continue this week.
DAL@HOU - Again I am picking the Cowboys and I know that will come back to bit me but Houston just has too many offensive issues.
AZ@NYG - The Cardinals have shown they can beat a team (LAC) without an offense and the Giants meet that criteria.
LAR@PHI - The Rams haven't started well this year but the Eagles have shown their weaknesses. The question is can Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford exploit those weaknesses? I am voting yes.
A possible upset for the week: DET@CAR, the Panthers are inconsistent and could upend DET. The Lions aren't the team they were a couple years ago. Both teams are similar, good offensive numbers and bad defenses. I am going with Goff's more consistent play.
ATL@NO - This is a tough one to pick for me because it appears my nemesis has returned with a vendetta against me. I won't turn my back on you again, my contemptuous hater of my winning percentage. What vile and despicable things do you have planned for me this week? HA, I picked you, Atlanta, even though the Saints are favored. The Falcons won in New Orleans last year, 24-10.
