Commissioner's Picks - Week 2
Last week I made my picks before Mahomes was named starter and that came back to haunt me. The Cardinals coming out of nowhere to knock off the Chargers was unexpected. The Packers and Lions not playing sixty minutes of football needs to change if they expect to be in the playoffs. My picks for week 2:
BUF
CAR
CHI
HOU
PIT
GB
PHI
BAL
TB
JAX
LAC
SEA
DAL
SF
KC
LAR
DET@BUF - Thu, will probably be the game of the week. I am sticking with Josh Allen.
CAR@ATL- 3 of the last 4 games these teams played in ATL have gone to OT, with CAR winning two of the three. The Falcons will probably start Rush, I'm going with CAR.
MIN@CHI - This could be the second best game of the week. CHI defense gave up 478 yards to the Panthers, this is very concerning. MIN defense gave up 419 yards. The offense is the big difference (Min 239, CHI 552). Da Bears.
CIN@Hou - I need to see more Bengal defense to be a believer in their playoff hopes. I'm going with the home team advantage.
PIT@NE - Last year PIT won in NE, no Tom Brady (please, don't say his name three times!!) NE without AJ Brown is a handicap. I know I'm asking a lot but I'll go with Grandpa Simpson and the Steelers.
GB@NYJ - I expect the Pack to play 60 minutes, finally. The Jets will be facing a much better team this week than the Titans.
PHI@TEN - - NO@BAL - - CLE@TB - -MIA@SF - - IND@KC - - LV@LAC - All games that should go to the better teams.
JAX@DEN - The Jags beat the Broncos 34-20 last year at Mile High (I know, it's not called that but it'll always be for me). I'm going with the upset, Jags.
SEA@AZ - This will be a test to see if the Cardinals are for real. If there is an upset game, this could be it. But I'm going with the World Champs.
WAS@DAL - I really don't know why I'm picking the Cowboys, probably because WAS has won only once in the last five years in Dallas.
NYG@LAR - Mon, This should be a Ram victory but last week's butt kicking from the 49ers has this game closer to a toss up. But the Giants won't be playing Alice Cowboys this week, so I'll go with the Rams, hoping they've recovered from jet lag.
