Commissioner's Pick Thu Wk 8

Tonight's game: MIN@LAC. This was a difficult choice. The Vikings have questionable QB play from Carson Wentz but the defense is playing well. The Chargers are on a cold streak, partly due to injuries. But in the end I chose LAC. Not confident about the choice.

In other news, it appears QB Lamar Jackson is back at practice but I haven't seen any definite proof he will be starting, the best I can surmise is questionable to probable. And I am not sure how much that sways my CHI@BAL pick. Because without Jackson the Ravens are a bad team. With Jackson they are a bad team with a reasonable chance of winning. And HC John Harbaugh is entering the Mike Tomlin territory, good regular season but one and done in the playoffs, though at this point we can stick a fork in them as they are almost done.

I think that LV head coach Pete Carroll reputation is the only thing keeping him employed. The Raiders should move on from QB Geno Smith, the turnover machine but Carroll has trust in him for some unknown reason. If they do or they don't it won't make much difference because the team is regressing and they will be battling TEN and MIA for the number one draft pick in 2026.
